Have you ever stopped and asked yourself… what am I tolerating right now?

Not as a fleeting thought.

But as a question worth sitting with.

Because the truth is, what we tolerate shapes how we feel, how we show up, and ultimately, how we live.

And for many women, tolerance becomes second nature.

You tolerate the clutter that never quite gets addressed.
The relationship that feels one-sided.
The constant busyness that leaves you feeling drained.
The inner dialogue that is far harsher than what you would ever say to someone else.

You tolerate being the one who holds everything together.
The one who adjusts.
The one who lets things go to keep the peace.

And over time, it adds up.

Not always in obvious ways.

Sometimes it shows up as a low level of frustration you can’t quite explain.
A quiet exhaustion.
A sense that something feels off, even if everything looks “fine” from the outside.

Tolerance can be subtle.

Over time, it becomes part of your normal, in the small things you’ve learned to accept.

But those small things matter.

Every time you tolerate something that doesn’t feel right, you send a message to yourself: this is okay.

Even when it’s not.

And this is where awareness becomes powerful.

Not so you can suddenly fix everything overnight.

But simply to begin noticing.

What feels heavy?
What feels out of alignment?
What are you putting up with that is quietly draining your energy?

For some women, it’s their schedule.

There’s no space.
No breathing room.
Just constant doing, giving, and managing.

For others, it’s relationships.

Conversations that feel surface-level.
Dynamics that feel unbalanced.
A lack of support that you’ve learned to work around instead of addressing.

And sometimes, what you’re tolerating is internal.

The pressure to have it all figured out.
The habit of second-guessing yourself.
The tendency to dismiss your own needs.

This kind of tolerance can be the hardest to notice.

Because it’s familiar.

But just because something is familiar doesn’t mean it’s supportive.

And here’s the gentle truth: You don’t have to change everything at once.

In fact, that’s not the goal.

The goal is to begin shifting from unconscious tolerance to intentional awareness.

To notice the things that don’t feel right, without immediately judging yourself for allowing them.

To get curious instead of critical.

You might start small.

Clearing a space that’s been bothering you.
Saying no to something that doesn’t feel aligned.
Speaking up in a moment when you would usually stay quiet.
Or simply acknowledging, this isn’t working for me anymore.

That awareness alone is powerful.

Because when you start noticing what you’ve been tolerating, you create the opportunity to choose differently.

And choice is where change begins.

Not all at once.
Not perfectly.
But intentionally.

You begin to recognize that your energy matters.
Your time matters.
Your feelings matter.

And that you are allowed to create a life that feels supportive, not just manageable.

So if you were to ask yourself today, What am I tolerating?

What comes up?

There’s no pressure to act on it immediately, and no expectation to have it all figured out.

Just an invitation to notice.

Because sometimes, the smallest shift begins with a simple realization: You don’t have to keep living with what no longer feels right. 💛
