What makes you who you are?
Your sense of personal authenticity consists of making decisions that are in alignment with your values, setting boundaries, and allowing the world to view an honest representation of yourself.
Sometimes, this sense of authenticity can get a little skewed. We begin to confuse our true sense of self with how others define us and by our outer circumstances.
But your true self exists deep within you, whether you acknowledge it or not! The traits and characteristics that make you truly unique are always there. Your personal authenticity is separate from your occupation or what others may think of you.
Accepting yourself as you are, stepping into your power, and being true to your core beliefs and values will help you to express your own personal authenticity.
This requires a commitment to your own self-knowledge, your individual identity and your core values. The more you get to know and love yourself, the easier it is to be authentic and courageous!
Some ways to embrace your authenticity are to practice meditation, stay in touch with your moral compass, be fully present and show up as your true authentic self in all circumstances.
When you bring your inner and outer worlds into harmony, beautiful things begin to happen! Rediscovering yourself as a whole allows you to live a life of grace, joy, acceptance, and abundance.
As Brene Brown says, the true definition of authenticity is “The daily practice of letting go of who we think we are supposed to be and embracing who we are”.
