Hello and welcome. My name is Lori Lander, Life and Personal Growth Coach for women and I am so glad that you are tuning in for today’s episode.  Today’s topic is about having a firm belief in yourself and your abilities as a woman. 

I have learned over the years that in order to make a change of any kind for the better in your life you must first have a firm belief in yourself that you can change and a  firm belief that things can be better than they are currently in your life. 

So here is what I am going to be sharing with you today.
In today’s episode you will learn:

  • Why having a firm belief in yourself is so important.
  • A powerful strategy to help you strengthen your belief in yourself beginning today (and a sneak peek into how I implemented this into my own life).
  • The wonderful thing that happens as a result of believing in yourself.

I want to begin by explaining why it is so important to have a strong belief in yourself and a firm belief that things can be better than they currently are in your life. But first, i want to share a powerful quote by Henry Ford and he quotes “ Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right”.  I think that this quote summarizes the power of our thoughts and our beliefs in ourselves perfectly. If you go through your life filled with self-doubt, fear, and a lack of belief in yourself it can be hard to live a life you truly love living. On the other hand, if you have a strong belief in yourself, you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. But here is the key, you need to have a strong belief first. 

Now I want to share a powerful strategy that I use every morning to strengthen my belief in myself and in what is possible in my life. I learned this particular strategy from John Assaraf who is a leading mindset expert and he calls this your Core Prayer. What it is is simply a powerful prayer, not religious in nature but more of a spiritual prayer that you read and say to yourself daily that will remind you who you are at your core, how you want to live your life each and every day, and what you are capable of.

So to give you an example my prayer which is similar to John’s goes like this:

God show me the path to fulfilling my fullest potential in my life and provide me with the guidance, wisdom, and patience to see it, hear it, feel it, understand it and intelligently act upon it daily. Show me the ways to live every day as the best version of myself as I help others live theirs.   I surrender. I accept. I release. I allow.   Guide me. Lead me. Use me for Greater Good.

I read this prayer every single morning before I get out of bed. And as a way to remind me to read the prayer I have an alarm on my phone so when I wake up the prayer pops up on my screen and that is the first thing I see. That way it makes it really easy for me and only takes about 20 seconds to read. 

So I encourage you to take time out today to write your own core prayer. Then find a time during the day that you would like to be reminded to read it and set your reminder in your phone. It is that simple. And even better, if you read it more than once a day. 

Over time as you continue to read this prayer you are reminding yourself to live each day as the best version of yourself. When this happens, your belief in yourself continues to strengthen. And when your belief strengthens, as a result, your confidence strengthens too. And once you have confidence within yourself, skies the limit on what you are capable of doing in your life.
